"Talent Reservoir" Gathers Intelligence and Empowers Longquan Automotive Air Conditioning Industry; 317 Engineers Provide On-Site Technical "Diagnosis
On March 18th, Zhejiang Yili Automobile Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. organized a number of technical backbones to carry out a new round of R&D on the key encapsulation manufacturing processes and advanced encapsulation equipment for high-precision pressure sensors in new energy vehicle thermal management systems. This R&D effort benefited from the "diagnosis" provided by Liang Mingxuan, an expert stationed at the Longquan Automobile Air Conditioning Industry Engineers Collaborative Innovation Center. A week earlier, Associate Professor Liang Mingxuan from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, China Jiliang University, had traveled specially from Hangzhou to solve this technical problem on-site.
In recent years, Longquan has vigorously promoted the construction of the Automobile Air Conditioning Industry Engineers Collaborative Innovation Center. Relying on universities such as Zhejiang University, China Jiliang University, and Lishui University, it has further carried out city-university cooperation, with university experts providing project guidance, technical training, and other services for Longquan's automobile air conditioning enterprises. At present, the center has signed contracts with 43 professional teams and gathered 317 engineers. In the past three years, it has solved 12 common technical problems, 33 individual technical problems, and transformed 39 technological achievements for the industry.
"Through the matchmaking of this center, our enterprise successfully connected with the R&D team of Lishui University and jointly developed an automated production line with independent invention patents," said Wang Mingyue, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Fanghong Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. Compared with traditional production lines, this new production line has improved efficiency by 30% and achieved better product stability.
In addition, relying on the Automobile Air Conditioning Industry Innovation Service Complex, the center has built an integrated innovation platform covering five aspects: quality inspection, technological R&D, talent training, scientific and technological services, and product display. It is equipped with the most advanced automobile air conditioning testing equipment in the country, capable of conducting 200 testing items; it has established industry-university-research cooperation with 75 universities and research institutes at home and abroad, and set up talent platforms such as the Zhejiang University Longquan Innovation Center and China Jiliang University Longquan Innovation Center; it has formulated 2 national industry standards and 6 "Zhejiang Made" standards.
Meanwhile, the center has joined hands with universities and research institutes inside and outside the province to promote the building of a high-level expert team, helping to boost the high-quality development of the cultivation of professional and technical talents in the auto parts industry. As of December 2024, a total of 164 people in Longquan's auto parts industry have been rated as engineers or assistant engineers.
It is understood that at present, Longquan's automobile air conditioning industry has formed a complete industrial chain, with more than 200 auto air conditioning parts enterprises, including over 50 enterprises above designated size. It is the fastest-growing, highest-contributing, and most potential industry in Longquan at present.
Thanks to such achievements, the center stood out across the province and was successfully selected as a Zhejiang Provincial Characteristic Industry Engineers Collaborative Innovation Center on November 26th, 2024.
"Previously, enterprises faced difficulties in attracting talents through 'individual combat' and overcoming core industrial technologies. Many small and medium-sized enterprises could not attract, afford, or retain high-level engineers. With the Engineers Collaborative Innovation Center, we can take multiple measures to build a good 'talent reservoir'," introduced Lin Yunyun, Deputy Director of the Longquan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Commerce.
